THE ARTIST

Hey there, this is Jennifer Richard, a Calligrapher and Botanical Illustrator based out of Chennai, India, working from my home studio - the place where the magic happens.

As a child, I was always amazed by the beauty of writing. It began with drawing of letterforms and then transitioned to trying different tools to bring out similar effects. From brushes to pens and nibs, it was and is such a meditative journey - a journey of learning, joy, patience and beauty.

This artform came to me when I needed an outlet to revive, calm and destress myself and it just did the right thing for me. I now teach this very artform to many others thus spreading the joy.

The Ink Avenue offers services that range from Handwritten letters to Engraving and much more. Forms of expression that bring out the best of emotions in you, everything being tangible in this seemingly virtual world of ours.
